Georgia opens up early lead on Ole Miss after Jaxson Dart INT
Georgia took an early 7-0 lead over Ole Miss on Saturday afternoon thanks to a big mistake by Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart.
On the third play of the game, Dart lofted a ball over the middle and it was intercepted by Georgia defensive back Dan Jackson. The Bulldogs then took advantage of the short field by scoring a touchdown.
The TD wasn’t easy, as the Bulldogs did have to convert on 4th and goal from the 2-yard line. But in the end, freshman running back Nate Frazier was able to find the end zone to give the Bulldogs a 7-0 lead.

Dart was injured on the play before throwing the interception as he fell awkwardly after taking a sack. After the series, Dart went to the locker room for evaluation and didn’t return in time for Ole Miss’s second series. Austin Simmons took the field as the Rebels’ quarterback on series No. 2.
