Georgia picks up commitment from in-state 2022 linebacker on National Signing Day

Georgia has had a busy day on the recruiting trails on Wednesday, which is National Signing Day.
The Bulldogs added a pledge from 3-star RB Andrew Paul on Wednesday afternoon. Then, shortly thereafter, 3-star 2022 LB E.J. Lightsey announced he was committing to Georgia, too.
Lightsey becomes player No. 29 in the Dawgs’ 2022 class:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Lightsey is the No. 49 linebacker and the No. 48 overall recruit from the state of Georgia.
The Bulldogs now have 29 players in their 2022 class. Prior to Lightsey’s commitment, that class ranked No. 3 in the nation and No. 3 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
