Though freshman QB Jacob Eason has been on the verge of earning the starting spot for the Georgia Bulldogs since the fall semester started, he has yet to be named the team’s starter.
But, according to Scout.com, Eason was told he’ll play the entire game next Saturday against North Carolina.
Eason has been working with the No. 1 unit at Georgia practices for a while now and has apparently done enough to convince coaches to give him the start next week.
Returning starter Greyson Lambert will serve as Eason’s backup and Brice Ramsey will be the third-string quarterback.
The Bulldogs and Tar Heels will square off in Atlanta on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 5:30 p.m. Eastern time on ESPN.
