Georgia has churned out a number of great running backs in recent years. Just a couple of years ago, the Bulldogs had a loaded backfield led by Nick Chubb and Sony Michel.

This coming season, the Dawgs will have Zamir White and James Cook coming back to lead the rushing attack, and both of those guys will be in the NFL sooner rather than later.

RB coach Dell McGee said this week that White and Cook coming back reminds him of Chubb and Michel coming back for 1 more ride with the Bulldogs (via 247Sports):

“It’s very similar to the situation when Sony Michel and Nick Chubb came back,” McGee said. “I think from a team standpoint they wanted to do more and they feel like they’re a part of that and a part of the success that we can have. I think it’s a good situation for our younger running backs and even our younger players because they offer a lot of leadership mentally and physically on how to perform, how to practice, how to take care of their bodies. So it’s comforting to have those guys back.”

How will those 2 talented running backs fare in 2021? Well, with JT Daniels returning at QB and plenty of other talented players coming back, Georgia should be a force this fall.
