Georgia has publicly acknowledged the arrest of Bulldogs DB Javon Bullard.

News broke Sunday of Bullard’s early-morning arrest on 7 charges, including DUI. UGA Athletic Association released a statement on Sunday afternoon (via Rivals’ Anthony Dasher):

“We are aware of a recent reported incident involving Javon Bullard. We are limited in what we can say, but the report is disappointing and is not reflective of our standards. In addition to University disciplinary processes, we will address the incident internally according to Athletic Association policies.”

Georgia’s online roster notes that Bullard was a starter in the Bulldogs’ first 2 games of the 2022 season. Bullard recorded 3 tackles in Georgia’s Week 4 win over Kent State, bringing his season total to 7 tackles. He had a pass breakup in the Week 2 game against Samford.

A sophomore from Milledgeville, Georgia, Bullard played in 14-of-15 games last season, recording 12 tackles.

The Dawgs travel to Missouri in Week 5, a game set for 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
