The Georgia Bulldogs will be without a key staffer heading into the 2020 season.

No, this staffer doesn’t affect the on-field preparations for the Bulldogs, but he was a key part of the recruiting process, which as been going really well in Athens lately.

Per 247Sports, director of player personnel Marshall Malchow is heading to Texas A&M:

Dawgs247 confirmed on Saturday that Director of Player Personnel Marshall Malchow has left his post for a similar position at Texas A&M, with a substantial pay raise expected. He will replace Austin Thomas, who just left to become the General Manager of Football Operations at Baylor.

Malchow has been with Kirby Smart in Athens since he took over the program in 2016.

Now, the Bulldogs have a huge off-field hole to fill.
