Georgia commit Stephon Shivers left the class on Friday after a months-long commitment.
The massive defensive lineman out of the 2025 class gave his verbal pledge to Georgia back in March. He took his official visit to Athens during the summer. But it seems that Florida is making a push for the Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy product and Shivers is keeping his options open.

Shivers has an official visit to Gainesville planned for the weekend of Nov. 23 when Florida hosts Ole Miss. According to Swamp247’s Blake Alderman, Shivers also plans to take an unofficial visit to Florida for the game against LSU on Nov. 16.
Vanderbilt also appears to be in the mix. Shivers holds scholarship offers from 9 SEC schools in total, as well as 6 others throughout the FBS.
A member of the 247Sports 2025 “Freaks List,” Shivers is a 6-foot-5, 365-pound defensive lineman. He also saw snaps at offensive tackle during the 2023 season. He produced 20 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. In the industry-generated 247 Composite, Shivers is a 3-star recruit who ranks as the No. 49 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 485 overall prospect in the country.
His departure leaves the Georgia class with 24 known commitments. It’s still a group that ranks top-5 in the national team rankings.
