Being Georgia’s third leading tackler apparently wasn’t enough to secure senior linebacker Tim Kimbrough Jr. a roster spot with the Bulldogs heading into the season, at least according to him. Kimbrough’s father initially broke the news of his son’s decision to transfer Wednesday evening.
Thursday morning, the linebacker took to Twitter to speak out on his transfer. According to his tweets, Georgia was not going to give him a chance to see the field this season:

It will be interesting to see if anything comes of this and whether Kirby Smart addresses the subject during his next media availability. Considering Georgia is not incredibly deep at the linebacker position heading into the season, why the most experienced linebacker wasn’t wanted by the Dawgs this season seems a strange decision.
