Report: Georgia interested in offensive coordinator Kurt Roper
Georgia will soon turn over the keys to its 2015 Cadillac known as Nick Chubb to a new offensive coordinator, one to replace eight-year vet Mike Bobo who recently departed Athens for the head gig at Colorado State.
ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported Sunday that the Bulldogs are interested in Kurt Roper, Will Muschamp’s play-caller at Florida who hasn’t been retained by new coach Jim McElwain. Roper is expected to interview this week.

Roper tried to make things work during his only season at Florida this fall, but ultimately inconsistent play from starting quarterback Jeff Driskel led to a midseason quarterback switch and the Gators struggled throughout.
The 39-year-old coordinator has coached at five different SEC programs and spent five years under David Cutcliffe at Duke before moving to Gainesville.
