Georgia WR Arian Smith's status for Kent State revealed, per reports
Georgia wide receiver Arian Smith has yet to appear in a game for the Bulldogs in 2022.
The redshirt sophomore suffered a high ankle sprain during preseason, ultimately requiring him to get surgery. Injuries have been a common theme with the Florida product, and he has been unable to see sustained playing time as a result.
Smith was ruled questionable for Saturday’s game against Kent State. However, due to multiple reports from Sanford Stadium, he is dressed and was pictured on the field going through warmups.
It’s obviously not known how much time Smith will see on the field for the Bulldogs against the Golden Flashes, especially if the game reaches blowout territory. But fans will hope that the speedster can remain healthy and provide a key contribution for the team through the remaining portions of the season.
Georgia and Kent State kick off at noon ET on SEC Network+.
