Georgia’s dominance across the past 2 seasons does not matter to the College Football Playoff committee, per a report from CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd.

Dodd reported that the committee will not look at factors like Georgia winning the last 2 championships or its 44-1 record in its last 45 games. The Bulldogs last loss was in the 2021 SEC Championship to Alabama.

The CFP committee will instead focus on this season along. But luckily for the Bulldogs, they have also been dominant this season, cruising to an undefeated record through Week 12 and gearing up to take on Alabama in the SEC Championship. As long as Georgia doesn’t slip up this week against Georgia Tech, it should head into decision day with a great chance of making the Playoff.

Dodd also reported that it doesn’t matter to the committee that Ohio State and Michigan have a combined point differential of 590 points. The Wolverines and Buckeyes face off this Saturday in a game that seems like it will determine who makes the Playoff.
