Jake Fromm describes special moment with Kirby Smart after Georgia defeats Florida
After another Georgia win over Florida, the CBS cameras showed Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart and QB Jake Fromm sharing a special moment. It’s the first thing CBS sideline reporter Jamie Erdahl asked her Fromm in her postgame interview.
“He said don’t ever doubt Jake Fromm,” Fromm told Erdahl. “I’m just so thankful I’ve got a head coach who believes in me and believes in this team. I’m so thankful to be here.”
Fromm has led Kirby Smart’s squad to three-straight wins over the Gators, including back-to-back victories over Dan Mullen. On Saturday, the Gators played a defensive scheme forcing Fromm to “beat them” and the junior did just that, going 20-of-30 passing for 279 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Much has been made of Fromm’s possible early entry into the 2020 NFL Draft. If the Warner Robins product has played in his last Cocktail Party, he’ll leave a perfect 3-0 in the rivalry rumble on the river.

People can hate on him all they want, but the young man definitely plays great in big games. Very smart quarterback and has a great future in the league!
As a big Tennessee fan im really sad to see us lose a family line member but im glad to see Wolf enjoying success in Athens
Classy comment Vols fan.
I doubt Fromm is what the NFL is looking for. He just doesn’t have that cannon but in the CFB world Fromm is a difference maker. You beat an up and coming Gator team with solid play in all phases of the game. Yes, the blown calls were blatant but the Gators had plenty of time to make up for them and couldn’t. Great game guys! Cya next year!
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning could never throw it far, but they have what Fromm has … intelligence at reading the D pre-snap.
I do not understand the can’t throw far he throws the hardest passes of all 15 yards across the field making it actually a 55 yard pass
