There’s no debate about who’s the most talkative player on the Georgia roster. Especially when it comes to getting the ball.

Wide receiver Mecole Hardman, also one of the more active Georgia players on social media, is just as chatty in the huddle and on the sideline to tell teammates why he should get the ball.

“Mecole, no doubt,” Georgia QB Jake Fromm said when asked by WSB-TV’s Zach Klein during an interview for Bulldogs GameDay, a program on Atlanta’s ABC affiliate.

Center Lamont Gaillard agreed, even laughing at the notion.

“That boy always thinks he’s open, even if he doesn’t get the ball,” Gaillard said. “‘He’s like, ‘Bro, I’m open if you throw it to me.'”

Fromm added that he’s already mentally prepared for the conversation from Hardman.

“They’re playing man,” Fromm recalls Hardman said, “Even though they’re obviously playing zone and they have somebody way over the top. ‘I’m wide open, this guy can’t cover me.’ It’s something all the time with that guy.”
