Based on the clip below, Jamie Newman has been hard at work this offseason to make the most of his opportunity in Athens this fall.

The graduate transfer from Wake Forest will have just one season to play for Georgia, so he knows he’ll only have the 2020 season to showcase his skills with the elite talent surrounding him in Athens before he makes the jump to the NFL.

Last season, playing for Wake Forest, Newman proved to be one of the ACC’s most efficient passers as he completed just over 60 percent of his passes for 2,868 yards with 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

While he certainly has the arm talent to excel in Georgia’s new and improved offense, the skillset Dawg Nation is most likely going to appreciate in 2020 is Newman’s ability to run when plays break down.

The quarterback rushed for 574 yards and six touchdowns last season for the Demon Deacons.

Here’s a glimpse of Newman in action during a recent training session.
