Kirby Smart said Jalen Carter is “not looking good” to play this week against Auburn after the Georgia defensive lineman was injured on a controversial block last week against Missouri.

At his Monday press conference, Smart said Carter will be out a week or 2 because of a sprained MCL

Smart was asked twice about his opinion on the possible illegal block and Smart said it wasn’t up to him to say, but the official who made the call.

“It doesn’t matter what I think about the block,” Smart said.

Carter before the Missouri game dealt with an ankle injury during games against Kent State and South Carolina.

After this week, Georgia will play Vanderbilt and then have an off week before taking on Florida on Oct. 29 in Jacksonville, Fla.
