Kirby Smart doesn’t seem to see any significance in playing game No. 100 at Georgia this Saturday when the Bulldogs take on UAB.

When asked during the SEC’s weekly teleconference Wednesday morning, Smart told reporters that he “doesn’t know the significance” of the honor outside of the fact that it’s “a marker of some sort.”

In other words: Smart is focused on winning Saturday and that’s just about it. Here’s his full comments on game No. 100:

“It’s a marker of some sort, the first 100. I don’t know the significance of it outside of that, I wasn’t aware of that. It’s one of those things if you do a good job, and you recruit good players and have good organization and good support that allows you to make it to that number, and certainly want to go out and play our best game at that mark.”

Georgia has played good football this season, but didn’t look as dominant as usual during it’s first real test of the year against South Carolina last Saturday. The Gamecocks controlled the first half before Georgia flipped the script in the 2nd, running away to win 24-14.

The Bulldogs welcome the 1-2 Blazers to Sanford Stadium Saturday for a game under the lights. Week 4’s bout is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
