The Georgia Bulldogs held their annual spring game on Saturday, and there was one notable absence.
Former 5-star WR Demetris Robertson, who transferred to Georgia from Cal last season, wasn’t in the game, and people started noticing.
However, the reason for the absence was quickly revealed, as coach Kirby Smart revealed at halftime that Robertson was being held out of the game due to illness:
Demetris Robertson is not here today because of illness, per Kirby Smart during his halftime interview with Chuck Dowdle on Georgia's radio network.

Smart wasn’t too worried about Robertson’s absence, though. He said the former 5-star recruit had been having a great spring:
“The kid’s had such a good spring,” he said to Maria Taylor in an on-field interview in the third quarter. “He’s very competitive.”
That’s good news for the Bulldogs, who need to replace Terry Godwin, Riley Ridley and Mecole Hardman in the receiving corps this fall.
