Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs suffered their second loss of the season on Saturday, as they were defeated 28-10 by Ole Miss in a game where the Rebels really dominated for most of the night.

The loss moves them to 7-2 on the season, and 5-2 in the SEC. While the Bulldogs still have a chance at both the SEC championship game and the College Football Playoff, they are no longer in control of their own destiny.

After the game, Smart talked more about how good Ole Miss is, saying they “should” still be undefeated.

“Lot of credit goes to Lane and his staff. They really should be undefeated,” Smart said.”I know people think that’s not true. But they really controlled the game against LSU the whole game and lost it. They’re playing good football. And they out-played us tonight, out-coached us. They did a great job.”

Ole Miss does have a couple of close losses so far this season. As Smart alluded to, the Rebels lost to LSU in overtime earlier this season. Ole Miss also suffered a big upset loss to Kentucky at home despite leading for much of that game as well.

The Rebels defensive line had 5 sacks on the night, and held the Bulldogs to only 245 yards.

Georgia will not have much time to think on this loss, as the Bulldogs have another huge game next weekend. The Bulldogs will host Tennessee next Saturday and the game will be at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
