Be warned, Georgia fans.

Kirby Smart is about to sound like a broken record.

He was asked about naming a starting QB following Saturday’s spring game and declined to answer.

So when he faced the question again at a question-and-answer session at a UGA alumni event in Dallas on Tuesday night, he decided the he was going to pick a line and stick with it through the summer.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Seth Emerson, Smart revealed that the answer was “probably coming sometime in September.”

Until then, expect to hear some variation of this explanation each time he makes an appearance and ultimately faces the question again:

“This will be my first offseason question about the quarterbacks,” Smart said, and the crowd laughed. “I’m well-prepared if they want a quarterback update. So as you guys know I’m well-prepared for that, and obviously ready to answer that. Not that you’ll get the answer you want. You’ll get an answer on it. You won’t get the answer on it.”

Smart will be choosing between returning quarterbacks Greyson Lambert and Brice Ramsey, as well as five-star newcomer Jacob Eason.
