Over the past few weeks, Florida coach Dan Mullen has not been shy about taking shots at the Georgia Bulldogs.

Even as the war of words between the two fanbases intensifies, Georgia coach Kirby Smart has not gotten in on the action (outside of a photo at a golf tournament).

On Friday, Smart joined “The Paul Finebaum Show” and said he doesn’t feel like it is his place to get involved in the troll war (via 247Sports):

“I just don’t think you need that,” Smart said. “That is not going to make Georgia great. We are not going to move up in the rankings by what I say. We are going to do it by how we play. We want to talk with our helmets. That is what we always talk about — we want to play a physical brand of football and not do it with our mouthpiece.”

Georgia has won the last two games between the Bulldogs and Gators, so what Smart is doing is working right now.

However, both teams should be top-10 squads this fall, so we’ll see how the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party goes in 2019.
