We haven’t seen the same D’Andre Swift we saw last year, but there’s a good reason for that.

Earlier this year, the sophomore Georgia running back was limited against Mizzou and Middle Tennessee while dealing with an injury, and this week, there are more injury concerns.

According to coach Kirby Smart, Swift missed Tuesday’s practice with a nagging ankle injury:

However, Smart said he hopes to have the talented runner back by Friday, which would seem to indicate that he should be ready for next week’s Florida game following this weekend’s bye.

So far this year, Swift has 362 rushing yards and four touchdowns and has added 130 yards and a touchdown as a receiver.
