Kirby Smart knows Georgia answered a key question with a big win at Auburn in which Georgia didn’t lead until 11 minutes left in the game, and then prevailed 27-20.

“Composure mission, that’s what it was,” Smart said on CBS. “This team had not been on the road, this young man (Carson Beck) had not played in this environment. And we tried to help them. When you turn the ball over, you help people. We just kept fighting and kept bumping. When you win on the road in the SEC, I don’t care who it is, or where it is, it’s hard to do.”

Smart added that offensive coordinator Mike Bobo might be frustrated with Beck as he needed to look backside cover 2 more often, but he finally did and that’s what opened up Brock Bowers’ huge 2nd half.

“These 2 guys are special, they’ve done a great job for this university,” Smart said. “This is a special atmosphere, I want to congratulate the Auburn fans. They’ve got an incredible atmosphere, it’s tough to come here and play.”
