Kirby Smart simply does not care if his team looks like No. 1.
Following Georgia’s dominant win over Kentucky – admittedly Georgia’s first game truly looking like No. 1 this season – Smart made it clear that he is not focused on the little number next to the Bulldogs’ name.
Asked if he felt his team showed it’s still the No. 1 team, Smart said “I don’t care.” https://t.co/rKK50Jeea3

Smart is obviously not a fan of narratives and, despite Georgia looking strong Saturday, is only concerned with improving for the Bulldogs.
And he’ll be plenty happy with the performance of his QB tonight. Carson Beck had the best game of his young career Saturday, throwing for 389 yards with 4 touchdowns and 1 interception against a Kentucky secondary that had played well until this point.
The Wildcats were just woefully outmatched Saturday. The Bulldogs moved the ball with ease and every time Kentucky got a semblance of a drive going it detonated with a penalty. It just wasn’t UK’s night.
Georgia has made progress, but now it’s time to remain consistent. The Bulldogs will be back in action next against Vanderbilt in Nashville next week at Noon on CBS.
