Georgia pulled off what many thought the Bulldogs could not on Monday, recording 2 consecutive national championship victories with a 65-7 win over the TCU Horned Frogs just a single year after defeating Alabama in the title game.

And much of Georgia’s success has not only to do with what head coach Kirby Smart brings to the program, but also the fact that several of the team’s players who could have transferred chose to stay and try to bring another title to the team.

“Kirby Smart said that ‘several guys’ told him they were going to go in the transfer portal, but stuck it out to try to help UGA win another national title,” Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald wrote.

“That makes me want to cry,” Smart said.

Smart also said after the game that he’s already thinking about next season as Georgia has the chance to go three-peat in 2023.
