Kirk Herbstreit was on the call for ABC in Week 8 as the Georgia Bulldogs neutralized the Texas Longhorns. The former No. 1 Longhorns were favored at home, but the Bulldogs ended up winning a 30-15 game.

On Monday, Herbstreit shouted out the Bulldogs for being “angry and motivated.”

UGA defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann, Kirby Smart, and the Dawgs defense reminding the nation last week that you never underestimate an angry and motivated Georgia football team,” said the analyst.

Herbstreit shared a highlight reel of the Georgia defense’s best plays from the night. Included were the 3 sacks from Jalon Walker and an interception from Daylen Everette.

The Bulldogs held the Longhorns to just 259 total yards of offense, forced 4 turnovers, and racked up a whopping 7 sacks. Things got so bad at one point that the Longhorns sent star quarterback Quinn Ewers to the bench and brought in Arch Manning.

As Herbstreit mentioned, the Bulldogs have been playing with an edge since losing to Alabama last month. Since then, the Bulldogs have reeled off wins over Auburn, Mississippi State, and now Texas. The Bulldogs vaulted 3 spots in the latest AP Poll after taking down the Longhorns.

The next test for the Bulldogs will be in Week 10 against Florida. That rivalry game is always played in Jacksonville and the Bulldogs have won 3 straight in the series.
