Ladd McConkey made just one catch for 22 yards in the Orange Bowl, but also showed his speed with a 27-yard touchdown run against Florida State. With that, the dynamic Georgia wide receiver saw enough of college football. He’s off to the NFL, and announced his plans on Monday on social media.

McConkey, who is listed at 6 foot and 185 pounds and from Chatsworth, Georgia, was Georgia’s most productive wide receiver over the past 3 seasons, but he battled with injuries in the 2023 season, including a back injury that delayed his contributions to start the campaign. McConkey had 478 yards on 30 catches and 2 touchdowns this season.

McConkey also was the Wuerffel Trophy winner, which is the player “who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.”

He produced a memorable career despite being an unheralded recruit as a 3-star whose only other SEC offer was Vanderbilt.
