Ladd McConkey, from Chatsworth, Ga., isn’t a household SEC football name, but if he keeps this up, he will be. And speaking of names, he also has one of the best names in all of college football.

McConkey stole the show in the first half against Vanderbilt, as the Dawgs are dominating the Commodores 38-0 at halftime. The Bulldogs wide receiver was tied with a team-high 4 passes for 62 yards and 1 touchdown. He also recorded an untouched 24-yard rushing touchdown.

Don’t worry if you haven’t heard of McConkey, because he was an under-the-radar recruit. The former 3-star prospect signed with Georgia in the 2020 recruiting class and was ranked as the nation’s No. 169 wide receiver, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Prior to the Vanderbilt game, McConkey caught 4 passes for 56 yards. His first 2 touchdowns came Saturday against the Commodores, and he, along with Brock Bowers, was the talk of the first half.
