Rest In Peace Lars Tate, a @GeorgiaFootball favorite of the 1980’s. His game-winning TD runs v the Jackets in ‘86 & Kentucky in ‘87 shook Sanford Stadium. pic.twitter.com/0nSEsuYLmg

RIP. He was a hard-nosed runner… bull-dozed the defense.
Too young. DGD.
One of the founding members of “Running Back University”. Lars carried on what Hershel started. Was a beast in the mid 80s…may he RIP, 56 is much too young…
Way too young, but people die in their teens and younger. Gotta be ready!!!! Always ready!!! I remember he was one of my favorite running backs. I think it was he and Rodney Hampton that made up one of the 80s best tandem of backs!!!! I remember what we did to #1 ranked unbeaten Florida back then. I can’t remember the exact score. I believe it was 28-0 or 28-7 something like that!!! I believe it was Tate, Hampton and Henderson at fullback!!! Anyway that is how I remember it!!!!!!
PS. He was one of the best and gone too soon. I personally pray he was ready and believed!!! I loved him. Thoughts & prayers for the family…

Negan
I was hoping the headlines read “Negan dies in a horrible painstaking fire”! Oh well, there’s always next time!
Negan tried to fake his death by pretending he was his sister and posting under her alias all kinds of nonsense, he is the lowest of lows.
Too young. Not a name a lot of people today remember but he was a nightmare for defenses.
He killed us, that;’s for sure. Rest easy sir…gone too soon.
RIP. My condolences. He was mighty young. I remember watching him play.
Very sad. Much too young. RIP.
Lars was a great teammate! He along with Tim Worley, Keith Henderson and Rodney Hampton were quite the formidable backfield! Rest in Peace Lars!!
Was at UGA during Lars years there. Guy had NFL physical talent and Hollywood leading man good looks. Would have made it big if he wanted to become an actor. Hate to see him pass so young. May you RIP, Lars.
Tough hard nosed runner. It was a joy to watch him in the mid-80s… DGD!
