It looks like Davin Bellamy’s message to Baker Mayfield has made waves as Georgia prepares for the National Championship Game.

The senior defender had two tackles in Georgia’s Rose Bowl win while the defense did enough to limit Mayfield and the Oklahoma offense in a huge second-half comeback. The Sooners looked unstoppable in the first half of that game but managed just a lone field goal in two OT periods as the Bulldogs came away with a win.

Following the game, Bellamy was heard screaming “Humble yourself!” in Mayfield’s direction as Oklahoma players were leaving the field. The Sooners QB was seen taunting the Bulldogs after a missed field goal during the game, but Bellamy and Georgia had the last laugh.

As fans get ready Monday for the championship game, sports fan Jonathan Ganz shared a photo of Bellamy’s mom donning a t-shirt with the now iconic phrase:

While the phrase has been a sort of rallying cry for fans following the Rose Bowl, it remains to be seen if Georgia, Bellamy, and the rest of the Dawgs defense can come away with a win over Alabama in the national championship. Kickoff for the game is set for 8 pm EST on ESPN.
