Summerville High School has a reputation as one of the top football programs in South Carolina. Its alumni include former Georgia star WR A.J. Green, and current Arkansas offensive line coach Dustin Fry.

The Green Wave are also known for legendary coach John McKissick, who led the program from 1952-2014, and coached Green and Fry, who went on to play at Clemson.

But the field suffered significant damage this week when Hurricane Dorian came into the Charleston area and slammed into the Green Wave’s stadium. According to photos posted to Twitter by the football program, toppled trees took down signs and other structures around the stadium.

The Green Wave’s game this week is postponed and tentatively moved to Monday.
