Georgia and OL coach Sam Pittman are really making a push to try and get massive recruit Cade Mays to come to Athens.

Listed at 6-foot-6 and 318 pounds, Mays is an impressive player and strong 5-star recruit. He is listed on the composite rankings at 247 Sports as the No. 1 player from the state of Tennessee and second ranked OT in the nation for the class of 2018.

A Knoxville native and longtime Tennessee commit before the firing of Butch Jones and ensuing fallout, Mays is a highly coveted player by multiple programs. While Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs are hoping to land Mays, they are facing stiff competition from Clemson.

Mays’ Crystal Ball predictions at 247 Sports gives the Tigers a 57% chance of landing him while Georgia trails at just 38%. Still, it looks like Pittman and the Bulldogs are doing whatever they can to try and get Mays to Athens.

Anthony Dasher with UGASports shared a photo from Mays that shows the O-lineman had Pittman as a visitor in one of his classes Thursday:

Fans will just have to wait and see if it is enough to get Mays in a Bulldogs uniform.
