One of the main reasons for Georgia’s undefeated season has been the improved play of the offensive line, and much credit goes to coach Sam Pittman.

The Bulldogs’ offensive line coach hosted several top OL prospects for the South Carolina game as he aims to build more depth and improve the unit going forward.

Among the prospects Pittman is recruiting who visited was 4-star Georgia commit Warren Ericson (6-foot-4, 290 pounds) of Duluth, Ga., 5-star Tennessee Cade Mays (6-6, 318) of Knoxville, Tenn., 5-star Jamaree Salyer (6-4, 342) of Atlanta, who is uncommitted and 4-star Trey Hill (6-3 1/2, 346 pounds) of Warner Robins, Ga.

Salyer, who shared the picture below on Twitter, is the top-ranked guard in the country, while Hill is rated No. 3 by the 247 Sports Composite. Hill is also from the same town as current Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm. Mays is the No. 4-ranked offensive tackle prospect in the country. Ericson is the No. 12 center prospect in America.

The offensive line has been a key element to the undefeated season for Georgia, and the unit received a game ball for its effort against Vanderbilt earlier this season. In that game, the Bulldogs averaged nearly eight yards a carry and had 423 rushing yards.

Pittman has followed through on his plan to make the offensive line bigger as the line averages 6-foot-4 and more than 300 pounds. Some of the credit goes to continuity as many of the linemen have the same position coach for two straight years for the first time in their careers.
