Georgia’s Jake Fromm is at the bottom end of the SEC’s top 10 quarterbacks in passing, but a closer look at deep passes reveals that the freshman stands alone.

Pro Football Focus found that Fromm is the highest rated passer on deep passes among FBS quarterbacks at 135.4. For those targeted at 20 yards or more down the field, Fromm has 10 touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Overall, he has 21 touchdown passes with five interceptions as he’s completed 63 percent of his passes for 2,173 yards.

Fromm was a regular recipient of the SEC Freshman of the Week award this season, receiving it after wins over Mississippi State, Missouri and Georgia Tech.

Along with a strong running game and solid defense, Fromm’s performance against Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl is expected to be a deciding factor if Georgia is to advance to the national championship game.
