LOOK: NFL confuses D’Andre Swift and Lorenzo Carter; Todd Gurley calls them out

When college teams are allowed to use the same jersey numbers for multiple players (as long as those players aren’t on the field at the same time), things can get a bit confusing.

On Friday, Georgia LB Lorenzo Carter was selected with the No. 66 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, but the graphic tweeted out by the NFL had a problem.

As you can see in the image below, former Georgia RB Todd Gurley II (now a star for the Los Angeles Rams) noticed that the picture used was of current Georgia RB D’Andre Swift and not Carter:

Swift’s NFL moment will come soon enough, but he still has two more years before he’s eligible to enter the draft.

When he does go pro, hopefully the NFL uses a picture that’s actually him, and not one of Lorenzo Carter.
