Monday night was the end of an era for Georgia football in many ways. The star-studded senior class has played its last game in the Red & Black with their eligibility exhausted.

While that revelation is sad, the future looks just as bright thanks to the Dawgs’ incoming recruiting class — which ranks as the nation’s best for the 2018 cycle. The gem of that class is of course in-state five-star quarterback Justin Fields.

Fields plans to take over Sony Michel’s No. 1 Georgia jersey but that’s not all he’s taking over, as the outgoing senior running back gave the world an update on the status of his locker — it’s all cleaned out for the incoming freshman signal caller.

In his Instagram stories, Michel posted the following images (which were posted to Twitter by Wes Blankenship of 11Alive Sports) showing off a nice clean locker for the rookie QB:

It’s okay to cry Georgia fans, whether those are tears of sadness or joy, there’s reason for both these days in Athens with one of the best senior classes in school history departing and a heralded freshman class incoming.
