Former Georgia WR Mecole Hardman and his new quarterback, Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes seem to be bonding as teammates. Their comfort level is at the point where friendly social media ribbing is fair game, as we saw a few days ago. But when it’s time to get serious, Mahomes has nothing but genuine praise for the talented rookie out of UGA.

At a recent media availability, the reigning MVP was asked about how it has been working with Hardman.

“He’s a great player,” Mahomes said. “Obviously, he’s very fast, but he’s working on everything, route-running, getting accustomed to the offense, I was very excited. When you add guys and add depth, it really is a special thing to know that the staff and everybody keeps adding and are never satisfied with where we are at, we are going to keep getting better every single year.”

With the status of Tyreek Hill in limbo, Hardman may not be considered depth for long and could find himself asked to take on a big role in Kansas City’s offense.
