Mike Bobo, Georgia blasted on social media as offense struggles vs. Ole Miss
By Sydney Hunte
Published:
Mike Bobo and Georgia haven’t had much success against Ole Miss through two quarters at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
At the end of the first half, it’s Ole Miss 16, Georgia 7.
The Dawgs understand that handing the Rebels a third loss will effectively knock Lane Kiffin’s team out of College Football Playoff contention. But a Bulldogs loss could damage their own chances.
And, so far, the offense has struggled.
Georgia took advantage of a Jaxson Dart interception and found the end zone on a short field. That’s been one of the only bright spots for the Bulldogs offense: they averaged just 2.5 yards a play in the first half. Carson Beck has thrown for only 49 yards while the run game has been a non-factor, with 17 carries for 21 yards despite Nate Frazier’s 2-yard TD run.
This is the second year of Bobo’s second stint as the Bulldogs’ offensive coordinator, as he served as an analyst with the program in 2022 and was Mark Richt’s OC for a good portion of the former UGA head coach’s tenure. And fans aren’t happy with him as the Dawgs’ offense has failed to do much in Oxford.
Here’s some of the reaction from social media following the first half:
How is Mike Bobo still calling plays for Georgia man. This is stupid.

Replace Pass 1 with a WR screen and you basically got Mike Bobo’s playbook… pic.twitter.com/yfXruWBWKg

Is Georgia doesn’t fire Mike Bobo after this season I might riot.

Georgia is not a serious team right now. Mike Bobo is literal poison on offense and the defense only shows up half the time. We're getting carved up in the rain because our linebackers appear to not even be on the field. Giant gaping chasms in the center of the field for Ole Miss

Still trying to minimize my presence here but I repeat, eat the rich and start with Mike Bobo

Mike Bobo should be fired at half time. How many screens to the right can you call. Oh brother, this guy is terrible

Only took Mike Bobo a little over a season to completely erase all that Todd Monken built, including Carson Beck’s development. A shame to see.

Fire Mike Bobo
This team will never win a championship of any kind with him calling plays.

Mike bobo sucks at play calling. He’s too predictable and lacks any type of creativity. Todd munkin…..WE MISS YOU!!

Mike Bobo & Kirby don’t trust Carson Beck at all right now. That is going to have to change. @SECUnfiltered

Idc what no one say. Mike bobo is a horrible play caller. A lot of plays he shouldn’t be calling at that moment. What are u doing a screen on 3rd and 4 and they know u go to lovette every third down. Why are u not doing slants
