Nazir Stackhouse isn’t ready move on from college football just yet. A 5th season with Georgia awaits Stackhouse after Friday’s announcement to return via social media.

Stackhouse’s career with Georgia started in 2020, when he appeared in 6 games. He slowly started to see more playing time the following year by coming in as a reserve defensive lineman and appearing in 10 games. Cut to 2022 and 2023, and Stackhouse is a starter in 28 games during that time.

The Georgia DL has amassed 69 total tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, and 1 interception over the last 4 years. It’s no wonder that the Bulldogs have relied on him heavily in the trenches as of late.

Stackhouse came to Georgia as a 4-star prospect in the 2020 class. The 247Sports Composite ranked him as the No. 27 defensive tackle in the class. He had SEC offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.

The Bulldogs finished the year at 13-1 after beating Florida State in the Orange Bowl 63-3. Georgia’s unbeaten run and chances of a reaching the College Football Playoff were ended by Alabama in the SEC Championship.
