Matt Stafford has company this training camp as he’s no longer the only former Georgia quarterback penciled to be a starting NFL quarterback entering training camp.

Following the news out of Indianapolis that Carson Wentz will be out for 5-12 weeks due to a recent surgery, the Colts are prepared to begin the season with Jacob Eason under center.

That’s the latest according to Colts coach Frank Reich

“The job is Jacob’s right now … and he’s gotta earn it. But he’s in the driver’s seat,” Reich said on Monday according to Zak Keefer.

Eason has yet to take a snap in a regular season NFL game after being selected in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
