NFL scouts give Georgia RB D'Andre Swift 2 big-time NFL comparisons
The NFL Combine will start in a few days in Indianapolis, and scouts and executives will be in attendance to get an in-depth look at some of the top 2020 NFL Draft prospects.
One of the top running backs in the class is Georgia’s D’Andre Swift, who had a spectacular career with the Bulldogs.
Recently, a pair of NFL scouts — Matt Bowen of ESPN and Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller — gave Swift some lofty NFL comparisons. As you can see here, Bowen compares him to Minnesota Vikings star Dalvin Cook:
#Georgia RB D’Andre Swift (5-foot-9, 215) —
• NFL scheme fit — zone run system
• Twitch + finishing power as a runner
• Downhill speed (w/ vision)
• Receiving traits out of the backfield
• Potential 3-down RBPro comp = #Vikings RB Dalvin Cook @NFLMatchup #NFL pic.twitter.com/phOERXfFFq

Then, Miller chimed in, comparing him to another star — New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara:
Love it. My comp is Kamara. Excellent receiving option. Hate that he got banged up late but saved some tread on his tires

Those are 2 of the best backs in today’s NFL, so those are some lofty goals for Swift. Can he get on their level? We’ll find out where he goes in the draft in April first.
