Over the weekend, leaked audio clips involving former “Two-A-Days” coach Rush Propst surfaced. In those clips, which can be found here, Propst claims Alabama and Georgia pay massive amounts of money to land top recruits.

Also in the clips, Propst claims Georgia paid former RB Nick Chubb $180,000 to come back for his senior year, paid in 3 installments of $60,000.

On Monday evening, Chubb took to Twitter to weigh in on the situation, saying he would have just gone pro if he needed money:

It’s tough to argue with Chubb’s point there. He could have made a lot more than $180K as an NFL player.

Now, he’s one of the best running backs in the league, starring for the Cleveland Browns. Georgia’s compliance office is at least looking into Propst’s claims, but it remains to be seen if anything comes from it.
