There are a ton of story lines surrounding this weekend’s colossal match up between No. 1 Georgia and No. 14 Auburn.

It is one of the first real “big time” SEC games of the year because of a lackluster schedule that fell victim to some of the conference’s usual powers not being any good (Florida, Tennessee, etc.).

Make no mistake, though, this one could have College Football Playoff implications.

One story line you may not have heard about yet is the double-sided reality that Bulldogs senior running back Nick Chubb could move to fourth on the SEC’s all-time career rushing list. The interesting part is who he would surpass — Auburn legend Bo Jackson.

Chubb has 4,291 career rushing yards and needs just 13 more to pass the 1985 Heisman Trophy winner’s mark of 4,303 yards, which would advance Chubb to fourth on the list of SEC career leading rushers.

Wouldn’t it be fitting if he could surpass the former Tigers star in a game against the Tigers?

As a report from DawgNation points out, Chubb is averaging 96.3 yards per game this season, so there’s a pretty good chance he’ll eclipse the mark.

Georgia and Auburn kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday on CBS.
