Paul Finebaum is feeling positive for the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs after they dominated the Kentucky Wildcats 51-13 on Saturday. On Sunday, Finebaum was on The Matt Barrie Show where he talked about the state of college football.

He talked about Georgia’s slow starts in previous weeks:

“I was talking with (head coach) Kirby Smart on Friday when we were down there, and I made some line about how you get behind and it has to be dangerous and terrifying. He looked at me and said, ‘It’s not dangerous and terrifying, we embrace it. We know we are coming back.’ It was like ‘Nothing is bothering us because I know what we have.’

Finebaum spoke to Barrie about the challenge of the night game and Kentucky previously and the expectations for Georgia moving forward:

“It just felt like a night game, first legitimate game of the year, even though you know, you and I said, ‘is it really legitimate against Kentucky?’ But it felt real and I think the team was ready to show everybody, we had enough of this nonsense. I’m not really worried about Georgia, I really wasn’t before now. Georgia is once again, waiting for Alabama in the SEC Championship game.”
