Peach Bowl reaction focuses on JT Daniels, Cincinnati’s quest to carry Group of 5 banner

The questions entering the game were could Cincinnati challenge Georgia, and prove that it belongs with Power 5 programs. On the other side, was Georgia motivated with a slew of players sitting out the Peach Bowl for various reasons.
Cincinnati opened the scoring and drew first blood, but Georgia responded with some dazzling pass plays from JT Daniels and George Pickens to show off what may be a strong passing game in 2021.
Media from the Georgia perspective noted the questionable personal foul penalty against Lewis Cine when he hit Cincinnati QB Desmond Ridder. Multiple people also noted the lack of holding calls against the Cincinnati offensive linemen.
The Bearcats took the lead, 14-10, late in the first half on a great diving catch.
Here is a sampling of the reaction from the first half:
And then Cincinnati QB Desmond Ridder makes another really, really nice scramble-and-pass. Georgia having trouble with him.

Whether part of the original gameplan or a reaction to Wiggins and Gardner being out, Georgia is having success going over the top of the #Bearcats defense. Something we haven’t seen a Cincinnati opponent do all season. https://t.co/Yq11g85Q4G

Georgia-Cincinnati is chippy, but a good kind of chippy. Not kick-someone-in-the-face-then-laugh chippy.

Consider me skeptical. People will talk about it, sure, but the wins by Boise State, Houston and UCF didn’t help Cincinnati this year.
If Cincinnati wins, Georgia wasn’t full strength. If Georgia wins, it’s proof Cincinnati didn’t deserve it. It’s all nonsense. https://t.co/AdRcECfaY7

JT Daniels will throw for 400 today if Georgia commits to spreadin em out & staying in attack mode. They clearly have a huge advantage in the pass game. #GoDogs #CFAPeachBowl

Miracle. Holding call on Cincy. Could’ve had 5 by now.

WR # 11 Arian Smith for Georgia will be a problem next year for all defenses. Speed!!!!! Think Jalen Waddle type. Game breaking speed!!!!!

Georgia had two plays of over 50 yards in the first nine games (one run, one pass.)
It’s had two in the first half today, both passes.

“Hi, I’m Georgia’s offense with Stetson Bennet, and I have cable.”
“Hi, I’m Georgia’s offense with JT Daniels, and I have DirectTV.”

JT Daniels to George Pickens. Get used to it. Gonna be happening all 2021. pic.twitter.com/qHZYL12FCZ

Georgia needs to push the ball downfield…the mismatch is mind boggling and yet JT Daniels rather check down!! Pickens was wide open about 15 yards downfield on that last play!! #georgiabulldogs

Unpopular opinion, but I didn’t think Pickens had control when he hit the ground on that amazing catch.
Doesn’t matter now b/c INT.

He’s making across the body, on the run throws at the moment on a day that UC hasn’t been able to establish the run. https://t.co/JqKla2NBaP
