Georgia football had perhaps the best defense in college football history last season. If not the best, one of the best.

That, as well as the Bulldogs’ National Title, comes with a cost, as everything does. Georgia lost 15 players to the 2022 NFL Draft, breaking a modern NFL record.

If they can replace that production in 2022, the Bulldogs will have essentially recreated Alabama. Not my words.

It would certainly be an impressive feat for the Bulldogs to run it back in 2022. No team has won back to back titles since the Crimson Tide did it in 2011-12.

But it’s not like the Bulldogs don’t have insane talent on the team this year too. Stetson Bennett returns, as does tight end Brock Bowers and defensive tackle Jalen Carter. The Bulldogs also have a tame schedule, facing just one Preseason Top 25 team in No. 11 Oregon.
