Adeline Kenerly, the girlfriend of Georgia quarterback Greyson Lambert, will be crowned Miss Georgia during a special halftime ceremony in Athens when the Bulldogs battle Alabama on Oct. 3.

Kenerly succeeds Miss America winner Betty Cantrell (Warner Robins, Ga.) as the Peach Tree’s Queen. Kenerly finished first runner-up to Cantrell for Miss Georgia over the summer.

Lambert, who transferred to Georgia from Virginia, is coming off a record-setting performance against South Carolina. He posted an NCAA-record completion percentage after finding his target 24-of-25 passes against the Gamecocks.

Well it's official (unless I'm still dreaming)! So blessed to take over as Miss Georgia for the fabulous @missamericaorg
