Report: Georgia signee D’Antne Demery arrested in Athens

Things aren’t getting started off on the right foot for Georgia signee D’Antne Demery.
The future Bulldogs offensive lineman was arrested in Athens Saturday night on two misdemeanor charges during his visit to Georgia’s campus for the spring game, according to the Macon Telegraph.

Demery was booked Saturday night at 10:52 p.m. at the Athens-Clarke County jail and charged with simple battery and criminal trespass, with a bond note stating “no bond family violence.” As of 2:00 a.m., Demery was still in jail.
Demery, from Brunswick, was rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 20 overall offensive tackle and the No. 22 overall prospect in the state of Georgia for the class of 2017, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
He competed in this year’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
