Georgia may have had a bit of trouble while preparing for its game against LSU on Saturday morning.

According to Jake Rowe of 247sports.com, the power went out in the team’s rooms at its Baton Rouge hotel for several hours. However, not the entire hotel lost power, but mainly only the block of rooms containing Bulldogs players and staff.

Perhaps that inconvenience contributed to Georgia’s slow start. With nine minutes to go in the second quarter, the Bulldogs trailed the Tigers, 13-0.

It’s likely that some Georgia fans will think LSU had something to do with the loss of power at the Bulldogs’ team hotel. However, there’s no true way to tell what the cause of the power outage was.

Hurricane Michael went through the southeast region earlier this week, but Louisiana was not one of the states that was most affected by the storm.

If the Bulldogs go on to lose their first game of the season, it’s possible that players, coaches and fans will not be happy about the earlier power outage.

Georgia entered the game 6-0. The Bulldogs are entering a crucial part of their schedule as the LSU game is followed by matchups against Florida, Kentucky and Auburn.
