It’s been a good week for Georgia Bulldogs.

Roquan Smith, one of the best linebackers to come out of Georgia in the past few decades, was offered an extension by the Baltimore Ravens Tuesday that would make him the highest paid linebacker in NFL history.

The deal, which was agreed to in principle and is not yet technically official, is worth 5 years and $100 million with $45 million guaranteed.

Smith started the season with the Chicago Bears before being traded mid-season. He has played well for both the Bears and Ravens, totaling 169 tackles, 4 sacks, 11 tackles for loss and 6 pass deflections.

Smith was a beast at Georgia across his 3 years in Athens, totaling 252 tackles and 6.5 sacks for the Bulldogs from 2015-2017.
