Georgia hired Fran Brown away from Rutgers recently to serve as the team’s defensive backs coach.

Brown will replace Jahmile Addae, who took a position on Miami’s staff under Mario Cristobal earlier this offseason.

Per an open records request, it has been revealed that Brown will make $750,000 per year, which is $250,000 more than Addae was making at Georgia:

Brown was Rutgers’ secondary coach in 2020 and 2021. He was the first hire by Greg Schiano when he took over the Scarlet Knights’ program again.

Brown also has experience coaching DBs at Temple and Baylor. He played at Western Carolina during his own college football career.
